What I’m Currently Loving ~ July

I started the new Currently Loving posts in June after reading about them on other blogs and thought they were such a great idea. Here are my current loves selections for July and don’t forget to tell me about your current loves in the comment section below.

Books ~ I’m currently reading The Marriage Pact by Michelle Richmond. I’m half way through this brilliant thriller and I’m absolutely loving it! The book is cleverly written with an original storyline that’s keeping me totally hooked. I can’t turn the pages quick enough!

Fashion ~ I recently bought a gorgeous black floral Bardot jumpsuit from Dorothy Perkins and I love it! This outfit is perfect, worn with sandals on holiday or for wearing with heels, for those dressier occasions.

Films ~ I watched the classic film Stranger’s on a Train again recently and it’s such a great film. Produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock and made in 1951, this psychological thriller film noir really does have all the elements for an edge of your seat kind of thriller. The storyline is so gripping and quite eerie, with an exchange murders plot. Definitely not to be missed!

Food & Drink ~ I was recently sent some lovely boxes of sweet and savoury biscotti from Great British Biscotti Co. which were absolutely delicious. I had never tasted savoury biscotti before, so it was a truly scrumptious experience to try something new.

Music ~ I have quite a varied taste in music and it very much depends on how I’m feeling that particular day or what kind of mood I am in. Last week I went to my brother-in-law’s birthday party and everybody was up dancing to Copacabana by Barry Manilow and it was such a great night. What can I say, who doesn’t love a bit of Copacabana? It definitely gets you dancing, that’s for sure.

TV ~ I’m going to say Ripper Street for this one. Set in Whitechapel in the East End of London, the first series was set in 1889, six months after the infamous Jack the Ripper murders and follows the story of two detectives as they investigate various murders around the city. The new and final series has been just fabulous and I’ll certainly miss its presence on our screens in the future.

So that’s my line up for this months currently loving topics. Don’t forget to look out for what I’ll be loving in August.
